THE BASICS

• Saint Louis fought back from a 4-1 sixth-inning deficit to tie the game in the eighth and walk it off on a Kyle Fitzgerald two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth in a 6-4 Saturday afternoon win over Bowling Green.
• The win was the third in a row for the Billikens, who moved to 9-4 on the season. Bowling Green fell to 1-10.
• Fitzgerald continued his hot start to the season, finishing 3-for-5 with two RBIs and one run scored.


HOW IT HAPPENED

• Saint Louis was able to push across one run in the bottom of the first inning, thanks to a throwing error by the Falcons.
• BGSU scored all four of its runs in the top of the fourth on two-RBI base knocks from both Tyler Ross and Adam Furnas, The Falcons led 4-1 through the middle of the seventh inning.
• The Billikens cut the deficit to one in the bottom of the seventh, scoring one on a Cam Redding RBI double and another on a Fitzgerald groundout.
• Sam Polk tied the contest for SLU in the eighth, scoring George Sutherland on a groundout.
• Fitzgerald's two-out two-RBI home run in the ninth scored Redding and gave the Billikens their first walk off win of the season.


BILLIKEN NOTABLES

• Charlie Sheehan picked up his third win of the season (3-1), throwing 3.0 scoreless and hitless innings of relief. The senior struck out three and walked one.
• Schild picked up two hits, going 2-for-3 on the day.
• Corrigan Bartlett saw his 12-game hit streak snap, but the senior drew two walks and scored two runs.
