RECAP
Saint Louis battled against No. 20 Massachusetts Friday afternoon at SportPort International, but a late fourth quarter goal moved the Minutewomen passed the Billikens, 2-1, in the Atlantic 10 Conference clash.
The Billikens fell to 1-12 on the season and 0-5 in A-10 play, while UMass went to 8-4, 2-1.
At 21:24 SLU responded to an early UMass goal with a tally of its own, off a strike from Demi Sahuleka, her second of the season. Lauren Pendergast picked up the assist on the play.
The teams remained tied until the Minutewomen regained the lead on a penalty corner at 54:32.
SLU made nine saves in the game, including two defensive saves from Julianne Sacco.
The Billikens collected four of their five shots in the fourth quarter.
