Mattyn Summers and
Caroline Kelly each found the back of the net, and Saint Louis pressured Dayton into two own goals as the Billikens posted a 4-2 Atlantic 10 Championship semifinal victory over the Flyers Friday afternoon at UD's Baujan Field.
•Third-seeded SLU (11-8-1), which has won seven of its last eight games, advances to the A-10 Championship final for a fourth consecutive year. The Billikens will seek a fourth straight tournament crown when they face fourth-seeded Massachusetts, a 2-0 semifinal winner over eighth-seeded Saint Joseph's, Sunday at 11 a.m. Central.
•The first own goal occurred just 25 seconds into the game when Dayton failed to clear a cross from
Emily Gaebe. The second was an insurance tally on a corner kick in the 52nd minute that made it 4-2.
•In between, Kelly scored in the 28th minute to put the Bills on top 2-1, and Summers netted what proved to be the game-winner in the 50th minute, breaking a 2-2 halftime tie.
•Dayton, the tournament's No. 2 seed, finished the season 12-6-2.
