THE BASICS

Ciaja Harbison and
Brooke Flowers registered double-doubles to lead Saint Louis to its fifth consecutive victory, 62-57 over Richmond, Sunday afternoon at Chaifetz Arena.
• The Billikens improved to 9-3 overall and 7-3 in conference play. The Spiders slipped to 10-6, 7-4.
• Harbison scored 18 points and posted a career-high 12 assists for her first double-double as a Billiken. Flowers turned in her fourth double-double of the season and second in succession, notching 17 points and 10 rebounds (four offensive) to go with four blocks and two steals.

FIRST QUARTER
• Saint Louis scored the first five points and held leads of 9-2 and 11-4 before settling for an 11-6 advantage at the buzzer.

Rachel Kent netted five first-quarter points.

SECOND QUARTER
• Richmond evened the score at 11 in the first 1:30.
• Saint Louis grabbed a 21-13 lead with a 10-2 spurt. The run began with 3-pointers from
Myia Clark and Kent and concluded with baskets by
Myriama Smith Traore and Flowers.
• Richmond answered with a 12-4 flurry that created a 25-25 deadlock.
• Flowers hit a baseline jumper in the closing seconds to send SLU to the locker room with a 27-25 edge.

THIRD QUARTER
• The Spiders scored six of the first seven points to gain a 31-28 lead.
• Flowers tossed in eight points during a 12-3 run that put the Billikens in front 40-34 heading into the fourth quarter.

FOURTH QUARTER
• Richmond narrowed the gap to three points twice in the early going.
• Harbison drove twice for buckets, and Kent buried a 3-pointer in between, to give SLU a double-digit lead, 49-39, with 7:23 left.
• The Spiders drew to within four on three occasions down the stretch, the final time 58-54 with 18 seconds to play.
• The Billikens missed two free throws, but Harbison made a steal on Richmond's next possession, was fouled, and sank two from the stripe to make it 60-54 with seven seconds left.
• Richmond responded with a 3-pointer, but two more Harbison free throws secured the win.
