THE BASICS
• Behind strong matches by
Maya Taylor and
Jillian Mattingly, Saint Louis swept Davidson 3-0 and 3-1 in an Atlantic 10 Conference volleyball doubleheader on Saturday at Chaifetz Pavilion.
• Taylor led the way in the first set with 21 kills to just two errors. In the second match, Mattingly had 13 kills with no errors.
• The Billikens have won three A-10 matches in a row and improved to 4-4 overall and 3-1 in the A-10 with the two victories. Davidson slipped to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the league.

FIRST SET
• Saint Louis grabbed a 6-2 lead and led by four points four other times in the early going, the last a 10-6 advantage.
• Davidson scored two straight points to narrow the SLU lead to 10-8.

Maya Taylor produced five of her 10 first-set kills in an 8-1 run that put the Billikens in command 18-9, and the Wildcats drew no closer than eight the rest of the way.

SECOND SET
• A kill and two service aces by
Emily Henken staked SLU to a quick 3-0 lead.
• Three kills by
Sara Daniels, two by Taylor and
Kennedy Cordia's two service aces made it a 10-3 cushion for the Billikens.
• The margin floated between six and nine points before a late surge gave Saint Louis a 13-point win.

THIRD SET
• The Bills trailed 4-3 before putting together an 11-2 spurt to take control, 14-6.
Juliana Phillips recorded four kills and a service ace during the run.
• Davidson cut its deficit to six points twice but never seriously threatened.

NOTABLE
• Saint Louis posted a .500 attack percentage (51-6-90) and held Davidson to .124.
• Taylor finished with a match-high 21 kills and hit .528 (21-2-36).
• Phillips turned in 10 kills and a .529 attack percentage (10-1-17).
• Two other Billikens hit above the .500 mark –
Jillian Mattingly (7-0-12, .583) and Henken (8-1-13, .538).
• Cordia made it four consecutive double-doubles with 41 assists and 11 digs.
• Henken tied Cordia for match-high honors with 11 digs.

FIRST SET
• The Billikens held an 11-7 lead before Davidson reeled off five straight points to force a Billiken timeout.
• After the score was tied at 16-all, Saint Louis tallied five of the next six points to snag a lead it would not relinquish.
• A Taylor kill would clinch the match for the Billikens, 25-21.

SECOND SET
• Saint Louis went up 4-2 early on and never trailed in the set.
• Consecutive kills by
Jillian Mattingly and
Sara Daniels gave SLU the 25-15 win in the set, its fifth straight set win.

THIRD SET
• Davidson got six kills from Annalyse Kitzberger as Davidson captured the set 25-18.
• The score was tied four different times, but SLU was never able to snag the lead in the set.

• The Billiken attack was dominate in the fourth set as they registered 20 kills.
• Taylor and Mattingly led the way for SLU with five kills apiece in the frame.

NOTABLE
• Mattingly ended up hitting .500 in the match (13-0-26).
• Cordia registered her fifth straight double-double with 42 assists and 12 digs.
• Also posting double-digit digs in the match were Henken (12) and Imo (20).
