THE BASICS
• Aubrey Hacke collected two hits and an RBI in Saint Louis' 8-1 loss to Ball State Friday afternoon on day one of Southern Illinois' Coach B Classic.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Saint Louis jumped in front in the bottom of the third inning. Chloe Wendling led off with a single, advanced to second on Tabby Cacheris' sacrifice and to third on Kat Lane's single, and scored on Hacke's two-out single.
• Ball State scored two runs in the fourth, three in the fifth and three in the sixth.
 
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Alyssa Chavez, Allie Herron and Kat Lane had a single apiece.
