THE BASICS
• Saint Louis fell in three sets to Iowa State Friday afternoon at Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee, Wis.
• The Billikens moved to 5-6 on the season, while Iowa State improved to 6-9.
FIRST SET
• Iowa State jumped ahead 6-0 in the set and never looked back.
• Kennedy Cordia's service ace brought the Billikens within five at 13-8.
• The Cyclones took the first set 25-16.
SECOND SET
• Emily Henken's third kill of the frame brought the score to 8-5 in favor of the Cyclones.
• Lily Welti's second kill of the game made the score 21-13.
• ISU took it's largest lead with the final point in the set at 25-16.
THIRD SET
• ISU led by as much as six, including at 14-8, but the Billikens used a 4-0 run to propel them to knot things up at 16.
• The Cyclones took back a three-point edge at 20-17.
• A Jillian Mattingly service ace brought SLU back within one at 22-21, but Iowa State recorded the final three points, taking the frame 25-21.
NOTABLE
• Henken recorded a .333 hitting percentage, tallying four kills, along with two service aces and four digs.
• Cordia posted 16 assists and two digs.
• Juliana Phillips and Maya Taylor had five kills each.
