THE BASICS
•Â
Rachel Kent's career-high 24 points and a smothering defense lifted Saint Louis to a 61-44 victory over Milwaukee Saturday night in a second-round game of the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
• The Billikens (14-4), who have won 10 of their last 11, move on to the quarterfinals of the 32-team tournament, the deepest advance in SLU's five WNIT appearances. They play Monday at 7 p.m. vs. Northern Iowa, which held off Creighton 64-63 in a second-round game.
• Milwaukee finished its season with a 20-8 record.

FIRST HALF
• Kent connected on all four of her 3-point attempts and added a 2-point bucket to power the Billikens to a 23-12 lead after one quarter.
• SLU's lead remained in double figures the rest of the way. The Billikens led by as many as 19 points in the second quarter before settling for a 33-18 halftime cushion.

SECOND HALF
• The Billikens' first 20-point lead, 38-18, came at the 7:30 mark of the third quarter.
• SLU was on top 47-27 after three.
• The Bills equaled their largest lead of the game, 22 points, with a 51-29 advantage with 7:18 remaining in the fourth quarter.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• The Billikens held Milwaukee to a season-low 44 points, a night after the Panthers scored 84 in a first-round win over Drake.
• Saint Louis was 13-of-14 from the foul line.
• The Bills out-rebounded the Panthers 37-26.
• Kent matched her career high of six 3-pointers, connecting on 6-of-7 from beyond the arc. She also had four rebounds.

Ciaja Harbison finished with 14 points and a game-high four assists.
•
Myriama Smith Traore tallied nine points, six rebounds (four offensive) and a game-high three steals.
•
Brooke Flowers grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
