GAME DETAILS
• Reid Hendrickson held Kansas hitless and scoreless for four innings of relief Sunday afternoon at Billiken Sports Center, but Saint Louis came up short in 12 frames against the Jayhawks.
• The Billikens moved to 2-9 on the season, while Kansas improved to 5-5.
SCORING PLAYS
• Kansas scored three in its half of the third, including a sacrifice fly from Anthony Tulimero.
• The Billikens answered with three runs of their own in the bottom of the third inning. Matt Happ and Cam Redding each collected on RBI in the frame.
• The Jayhawks used two RBI doubles in the seventh to go up 5-3 in the contest.
• SLU answered right back with two runs of its own in the bottom of the seventh. A Colin Bergmann double and a Redding sacrifice fly knotted the game back at 5-5.
• KU struck first in extra innings, scoring two runs in the top of the 12th inning on an RBI single and a wild pitch.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Hendrickson threw 4.0 innings and faced one batter in his fifth frame of work. He did not allow a hit, while striking out three. The leadoff batter in the 12th inning walked off Hendrickson, and he later cam around to score.
• Happ recorded a three-hit day, finishing 3-4 with one RBI and one run scored.
• Redding picked up two RBIs, going 1-4 with a hit by pitch.
• Scott Youngbrandt gave up just three earned runs in 7.0 innings of work. He struck out three and allowed just six hits.
