THE BASICS
•Sixth-inning RBI hits by Sadie Wise and Alyssa Chavez gave Saint Louis a 2-0 victory over George Mason and a split of Saturday's Atlantic 10 Conference doubleheader.
•George Mason won the opener 4-2.
 
GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•George Mason took a 4-0 lead with a run in the first inning and three in the fourth.
•The Billikens cut the margin in half in the fifth. Jocelyn Abbott tripled in the first run, and Maria Connell drove in the second with a fielder's choice.
 
GAME 1 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Abbott added a single for her first multi-hit game as a Billiken.
•Kat Lane, Gabbie Kowalik and Kristi Stevenson had a single apiece.
 
GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•George Mason loaded the bases with one out in the fifth, but Saint Louis reliever Aubrey Hacke recorded two strikeouts to end the inning with no damage.
•The Billikens capitalized right away with a decisive sixth-inning rally. Lane singled with one out, stole second and scored on Wise's single. Wise scored on Chavez's two-out double.
 
GAME 2 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Allie Herron smacked a double.
•Kowalik had a single.
•Hacke and Chloe Wendling combined on the Billikens' third shutout of the season. Wendling went 4 1/3 innings, struck out four, yielded six hits and did not walk a batter. Hacke fanned three and gave just one hit over the final 2 2/3.
