THE BASICS
•
Gabbie Kowalik hit for the cycle in the opener and
Sadie Wise tied the Saint Louis career home runs record in game two as the Billikens swept an Atlantic 10 Conference doubleheader from St. Bonaventure, 7-4 and 4-3, Saturday at the Billiken Sports Center.

GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Saint Louis took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on
Jocelyn Abbott's RBI single.
•Kowalik's solo shot, her team-high eighth home run of the season, and
Allie Herron's two-out RBI double in the third made it 3-0.
•St. Bonaventure pulled even with three runs in the fourth.
•The Billikens answered with three tallies in their half of the fourth. Abbott led off with her second homer of the season, and Kowalik doubled in two runs.
•
Maria Connell's two-out RBI single in the fifth increased the SLU lead to 7-3.
•St. Bonaventure scored once in the seventh.

GAME 1 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Kowalik took care of the most difficult part of the cycle, the triple, in the first inning. She completed it with an infield single in the sixth.
•Herron had three hits, while Abbott, Connell,
Kelsey Etling and
Kristi Stevenson recorded two hits apiece.
•Wise and
Kat Lane each had a single.
•
Chloe Wendling went the distance in the circle and picked up her fifth win of the season. Wendling allowed three earned runs, struck out seven, walked only one and scattered seven hits.

GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•SLU responded to St. Bonaventure's first-inning run with one of its own on a wild pitch.
•Wise put the Billikens on top with her third home run of the season, a solo blast, in the third.
•The Bills made it 4-1 in the fifth with a pair of two-out runs.
Alyssa Chavez (single) and Etling (double) registered the RBIs.
•The Bonnies scored twice in the seventh and had the tying and go-ahead runs aboard, but starter and winner
Aubrey Hacke nailed down the victory.

GAME 2 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Wise's home run was the 30th of her career, tying Alex Nickel for the school record. She added a single for a two-hit game.
•Etling and Lane also had two hits, and Connell collected a single.
•Hacke notched her team-leading seventh victory. She struck out nine and walked only one.
