THE BASICS
•
Sadie Wise had six hits and broke Saint Louis' career home runs record in the Billikens' 13-2, 7-5 Atlantic 10 Conference doubleheader sweep of St. Bonaventure Sunday at the Billiken Sports Center.
•Wise and
Kelsey Etling had two homers apiece and combined for 13 RBI in the twinbill.

GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Saint Louis exploded for eight runs in the first inning. Etling's grand slam accounted for the first four runs and was followed by
Jocelyn Abbott's RBI double,
Maria Connell's RBI single and Wise's two-run single.
•St. Bonaventure scored a run in the third, but SLU answered with five tallies in its half of the inning. Wise and Etling hit two-run home runs, and Abbott had an RBI single.
•The Bonnies plated their second run in the fifth.

GAME 1 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Wise's home run was the 31st of her Saint Louis career, breaking the previous record of 30 held by Alex Nickel. She was 3-for-3, adding a double to her homer and single.
•Joining Etling and Abbott with two-hit games were
Kat Lane,
Alyssa Chavez and
Kristi Stevenson.
•
Gabbie Kowalik smacked a double.
•
Chloe Wendling pitched the first three innings and posted the win. Wendling allowed no earned runs, no walks and just three hits.
•
Kaiya Luneckas struck out three in two innings of relief.

GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•The Bonnies jumped in front by scoring twice in the first.
•Wise's second home run of the day tied it 2-2 in the third.
•St. Bonaventure went on top 5-2 with a three-run fourth inning.
•Saint Louis made it 5-3 in its half of the fourth on Etling's RBI double.
•The Billikens struck for four runs in the fifth. Kowalik's three-run homer was the big blow, and
Allie Herron provided an insurance run with a sacrifice fly.

GAME 2 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Wise was 3-for-4, adding two singles to her home run.
•Etling and Lane recorded two-hit games.
•Chavez notched a single.
•Wendling pitched the final three innings and recorded the win, her seventh. She gave no hits and just one walk while fanning three.

SLU plays a single non-conference game at SIUE Wednesday, April 21, at 4 p.m. The Billikens return to A-10 play April 24-25 when they host George Washington in a four-game series; doubleheader start times are noon Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.
