THE BASICS
•
Chloe Wendling pitched the second perfect game in Saint Louis softball history Friday afternoon as the Billikens routed Dayton 15-0 in game one of a doubleheader at the Billiken Sports Center.
•Nicole Bohnenstiehl tossed the Billikens' only other perfect game March 13, 2001, vs. Appalachian State.
•Wendling's gem is SLU's fifth no-hitter overall and first since Brianna Lore no-hit Kennesaw State March 6, 2015.
•Dayton won the nightcap 9-7.

GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Saint Louis erupted for 10 runs in the first inning as eight different Billikens picked up at least one RBI.
Cami Newbanks smacked a two-run single;
Kayla Swiderski,
Kristi Stevenson,
Kat Lane and
Gabbie Kowalik produced RBI singles; and
Alyssa Chavez,
Kelsey Etling and
Sadie Wise drew bases-loaded walks.
•Kowalik slammed an RBI triple in the third.
•The Billikens added four tallies in the fourth. Wise drove in two with a single, while Lane and Chavez each recorded an RBI single.

GAME 1 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Wendling struck out three.
•Lane and Kowalik both were 3-for-3.
•
Allie Herron had a double.

GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•SLU took a 2-0 lead in the first on Wise's RBI single and Swiderski's RBI groundout.
•Dayton scored twice in the second to tie it.
•The Billikens went on top 6-2 with a four-run second inning. Swiderski collected an RBI single, Chavez drove in a run with a fielder's choice, Lane drew a bases-loaded walk, and another run scored on a passed ball.
•The Flyers plated a run in the third, forged a 6-6 tie with three in the fourth, and pulled ahead 9-6 with another three tallies in the fifth.
•A two-out error in the Saint Louis seventh scored a run and brought the tying run to the plate, but the Billikens drew no closer.

•Etling had two hits.
•Lane and Chavez had a single apiece.
•Wendling pitched 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, fanning three.
