MATCH DETAILS
• Maya Taylor posted a match-best 12 kills, but Creighton defeated Saint Louis 3-0 Friday evening in the Mizzou Invitational at Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo.
• The Billikens moved to 1-1 on the season, while Creighton improved to 2-0.
• After taking an early 8-2 lead and later using an 8-0 run to pull ahead 21-9, Creighton claimed the first set 25-15.
• With CU leading 8-7 in the second set, two Delaney Rice kills sparked a 4-0 spurt for the Billikens, putting them ahead 11-8. It was back-and-forth from there, including a tie score at 17-17. A Henken kill brought SLU within one at 20-19, but the Bluejays snagged five of the last six points in the frame.
• Following a tie score at 9-9, Creighton used a 10-1 run to hold a 19-10 edge in set three. The Billikens fought back, including four kills from Lily Welti, but CU won the third frame 25-16.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Taylor passed Sammi McCloud for sixth all-time on the Billikens career kills list. With 12 in the match, the senior has 1,424 in her career.
• Rice hit for a .545 attack percentage, with seven kills.
• Jillian Mattingly had eight kills on a .429 hitting percentage.
• Emily Imo collected a team-high 14 digs.
• Kate Aupperle tallied 27 assists.
