ST. LOUIS – After an impressive opening weekend of play that saw Saint Louis pick up victories over Louisville and Creighton, the Billikens checked in at No. 16 in this week's United Soccer Coaches Top 25.
 
SLU entered this week's top 25 after receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll. Last season, the Billikens climbed to No. 17 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25.
 
The Billikens are 2-0 on the young season after knocking off Louisville 2-1 and Creighton 4-0 at Hermann Stadium to start the year. Future opponents who appear in the poll are No. 9 SMU (Sept. 10), No. 12 VCU (Oct. 9) and RV Dayton (Oct. 16).
 
The Billikens' No. 16 ranking is their best ranking since coming in at No. 14 early in the 2015 season.
