MATCH DETAILS
• Abby Lynn posted her fourth double-double of the season, and Saint Louis swept Louisiana-Monroe 3-0 Saturday afternoon in the Mary Jo Wynn Invitational at Hammons Student Center in Springfield, Mo.
• The victory was head coach Kent Miller's 150th with Saint Louis.
• SLU improved to 5-4 on the season, while Louisiana-Monroe dropped to 3-8.
• The Billikens used six service aces, including three from Lynn, and six Maya Taylor kills to take set one from ULM. It was back-and-forth early, but a 6-0 spurt put SLU ahead 15-11. The Warhawks crawled back to tie things at 19-19, but back-to-back service aces from Jillian Mattingly put SLU up four at 23-19. The Billikens went on to win the game 25-21.
• The second set was close early on, but back-to-back kills from Taylor and Giovanna Charles put SLU up 13-9. The Billikens tallied seven of the final eight points in the frame and took set two 25-18.
• After a 9-9 tie score in set three, the Billikens used a 5-1 spurt to pull ahead 14-10. Following three straight points from the Warhawks, SLU recorded four consecutive kills, including two from Charles, to hold a 19-13 edge. The Billikens went on to win the game 25-18 and the match 3-0.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• The victory was the third sweep of the season for the Billikens.
• Lynn finished with 18 assists, 11 digs and a career- and match-high four service aces.
• Taylor posted a match-best 12 kills, along with seven digs, one block and one service ace.
• Mattingly collected 10 kills, on a .333 hitting percentage, while also tallying two service aces.
• Emma Comparato added two service aces in the fourth set, bringing SLU's total to 10 in the match.
• Cece Fitz had four blocks and four kills.
