Saint Louis fell 4-0 to Richmond in the team's Atlantic 10 Conference opener Friday afternoon at SportPort International.
The Billikens moved to 0-7 on the season, while Richmond earned its first win on the year and moved to 1-5.
SLU had eight shots in the contest, led by freshman Lotte Teunissen with three. The Billikens also had four penalty corners but couldn't find the back of the cage.
The Spiders tallied three scores in the first half and one in the second. Steffie Bongers recorded two goals for Richmond.
The Billikens return to SportPort International on Friday, Sept. 24, for an A-10 battle with Lock Haven.
