MATCH DETAILS
• Maya Taylor posted a season-best 25 kills, leading Saint Louis to an Atlantic 10 Conference road victory at VCU Sunday afternoon at Siegel Center in Richmond, Va.
• The Billikens improved to 9-6 on the year and 2-0 in A-10 play, with their fourth straight win. VCU dropped to 6-9, 2-1.
• The Rams were tabbed to finish second in the A-10 Preseason Poll, with the Billikens right behind at third.
• Set one saw eight tie scores early on, but with Taylor at the service line, a 5-0 SLU run pulled the Billikens ahead at 16-10. The Billikens finished off the Rams in the frame, thanks, in part, to six Taylor kills and three blocks from Sara Daniels.
• Game two was controlled by SLU from the start, after the Billikens pulled ahead 8-2. The team took a 2-0 lead in the match with a 25-16 set two win.
• VCU bounced back by taking sets three and four from the Billikens.
• In the deciding frame, SLU collected 13 of its 15 points off of kills, including five from Taylor.
