MATCH DETAILS
• Sophomore Carlie Rodgers posted a career-high six service aces, along with a match-best 20 digs, but Saint Louis fell to Arkansas State in four sets Friday night in the Billiken Invitational at Chaifetz Pavilion.
• SLU dropped to 1-3 on the season, while the Red Wolves moved to 2-2.
• The Billikens held set point in the first frame at 24-21, but ASU rallied for six of the last seven points to steal the game 27-25. Maya Taylor led all players with six kills in the set.
• Arkansas State controlled the second frame from the beginning, jumping out to a 17-5 advantage. The Red Wolves won set two 25-13.
• SLU bounced back in the third set, winning the frame 25-21. Rodgers clinched the game with service aces on two of the final three points.
• ASU led 5-1 early in set four, but the Billikens climbed back to tie things at 10-10. Following a 14-14 tie score, the Red Wolves went on an 11-2 run to seel the set 25-16 and the match 3-1.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Rodgers added three assists to her stat line of 20 digs and six service aces.
• Taylor paced the Billikens with 12 kills, along with nine digs.
• Kate Aupperle collected 17 assists, while Abby Lynn had 16.
• Jillian Mattingly posted 10 kills and six total blocks.
