GAME DETAILS
• Brooke Flowers and Sevval Gul recorded double-doubles and led Saint Louis to a 54-51 victory Saturday night in an Atlantic 10 Conference game at Chaifetz Arena.
• The Billikens moved to 3-6 in league play and 7-14 overall, while the Wildcats dropped to 13-11, 4-8.
• SLU dressed just seven players for the game and were missing 51 percent of its season scoring. Ciaja Harbison missed the first game of her career at SLU, snapping a streak of 102 consecutive starts.
• Gul posted six of SLU's 10 first-quarter points, including connecting on a bucket with just five seconds left in the frame. Davidson held a 12-10 edge at the end of one.
• A low-scoring second quarter saw both teams go just under five minutes without recording a point. The Billikens converted on four free throw attempts in the final minute of the half and trailed 22-20 at the break.
• An 8-0 run to open the second half gave SLU a six-point lead at 28-22 with 6:38 left in the frame. Davidson responded with a 5-0 spurt to pull back within one. The Billikens held a 33-31 advantage at the end of the third.
• The Wildcats crawled back to within one point on four occasions in the fourth quarter, but the Billikens held their ground, never lost the lead and came away with the home victory.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Flowers picked up her sixth double-double of the season and third in the last four games, finishing with 13 points and a game-best 15 rebounds.
• Gul's double-double was the first of her career. She had a game-high 14 points, along with a career-best 11 rebounds. Eight of her boards came on the offensive glass, another career mark.
• Julia Martinez collected nine points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
• The Billikens held Davidson to just 30.9 percent from the field, including 7-of-36 from behind the arc.
