• Saint Louis used an eight-run third inning to pick up its first win of the season Saturday afternoon at Hoover Metropolitan Complex in Hoover, Ala.
• The Billikens and BGSU moved to 1-1 on the season.
• Kyle Fitzgerald picked up a three-hit day and reached base five times.
SCORING
• Bowling Green struck first with RBI singles in the top half of both the second and third innings.
• The Billikens responded with eight runs in their half of the third frame. Cameron Swanger and Fitzgerald (2) picked up RBI doubles, Matt Turino and Cam Redding (2) collected RBI singles and Colten Schild and Tyler Fogarty drew bases-loaded walks.
• The Falcons picked up two runs in the top of the fifth on a two-run home run.
• SLU responded in the fifth with a bases-loaded walk to bring in a run.
• Bowling Green scored two in the sixth, including with an RBI double.
• The Falcons made it a two-run game on a groundout in the eighth inning and then scored another with an RBI single in the ninth.

• Fitzgerald went 3-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two walks.
