THE BASICS
•Saint Louis tallied six runs in the ninth inning and defeated Fordham 9-4 in the first game of an Atlantic 10 Conference doubleheader Monday afternoon.
•Fordham won the nightcap 5-3.

GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Fordham took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
•Saint Louis went on top 2-1 in the third when two runs scored on a dropped fly ball with two outs.
•Fordham pulled even in the sixth, and the game went to extra innings after both teams were retired in order in the seventh.
•
Kristi Stevenson led off the eighth with her first home run of the season.
•Fordham scored the tying run on a two-out, bases-loaded single in its half of the eighth. But on the play,
Gabbie Kowalik cut down the Rams' runner carrying the potential game-winning run at the plate.
•All six of Saint Louis' ninth-inning runs -- the Billikens' largest run total in any inning this season -- scored with two outs. Kowalik and
Sadie Wise produced back-to-back two-run singles, and
Kayla Swiderski and
Kelsey Etling followed with RBI singles.

•
Chloe Wendling went the distance in the circle and struck out six en route to posting a second straight victory.
•Wise added a double for a two-hit game.
•Stevenson also had two hits, tacking on a double to her home run.
•
Jocelyn Abbott and
Kendall Johnson registered a single apiece.
•
Natalie Sullivan walked and scored twice.

GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•The Billikens jumped in front in the first on Stevenson's leadoff homer.
•SLU increased the lead to 3-0 in the third on RBI singles by Stevenson and Wise.
•Fordham scored its first run in the third, and the Rams went ahead with a four-run sixth inning.

GAME 2 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Stevenson also doubled, leaving her just a triple shy of the cycle.
•Johnson and
Cami Newbanks each had a single.
