QUICK PREVIEW
 
The fifth-seeded Saint Louis Billikens (21-10) will take on No. 12 seed La Salle (11-18) Thursday in a second-round matchup at the 2022 Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Championship at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Tip time is set for 1:30 p.m. (CT).
 
It is the first game of the Championship for the Billikens, who earned a bye into the second round by way of finishing among the top 10 seeds. La Salle defeated Saint Joseph's Wednesday afternoon to earn a trip into the second round.
 
The Billikens and Explorers met twice in the regular season, with SLU winning both games – 75-57 in Philadelphia and 90-64 in St. Louis.

Thursday's game will be televised nationally on USA Network. Paul Burmeister, Tim McCormick and Leila Rahimi are on the call.
 
The radio broadcast will air on the home for the Billikens, KMOX 1120 AM. As always, Billiken Hall of Famers Bob Ramsey and Earl Austin Jr. will be on the call.

1 // Three Billikens earned postseason All-Conference honors from the Atlantic 10 (read more). Yuri Collins was named first-team All-Conference and to the All-Defensive team. Gibson Jimerson was third-team All-Conference and repeated on the All-Academic squad. Fred Thatch Jr. joined Jimerson on the All-Academic team.
 
2 // Yuri Collins continues to lead the NCAA in total assists (248) and assists per game (8.0). He is set to join two Billiken greats as NCAA statistical individual champions – Ed Macauley (FG%, .524 in 1948-49) and Anthony Bonner (Rebounds per Game, 13.8 in 1989-90).
