GAME DETAILS
• Logan Schmitt tossed a 9.0-inning complete game, but third-seeded Saint Louis fell 2-1 to sixth-seeded Saint Joseph's on the first day of the Atlantic 10 Conference Baseball Championship at Wilson Field in Davidson, N.C.
• The Billikens moved to 28-23 on the season, while the Hawks went to 29-23.
• SLU will now play either Wednesday or Thursday, based on the outcome of Tuesday night's VCU-Richmond contest.

SCORING
• Tyler Fogarty's team-leading 11th home run of the season put the Billikens up 1-0 in the third inning.
• Saint Joseph's connected on a two-run home run in the top half of the fourth.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Schmitt scattered six hits and one walk, along with four strikeouts, in his 9.0-inning outing. He picked up just his second loss on the season, moving to 8-2.
• Cam Redding collected two of the Billikens' six hits, finishing 2-4.
