• After dropping the first set, Saint Louis won the next three games in a row to defeat Virginia Tech Saturday afternoon in the DePaul Invitational at McGrath-Phillips Arena in Chicago, Ill.
• The first set was back-and-forth early, but the Hokies eventually pulled ahead for a 25-20 victory.
• The Billikens never relinquished the lead in game two, hitting for a .419 attack percentage in the frame.
• SLU dominated the third set, ending the game on an 12-1 run and winning the frame 25-9.
• Saint Louis again used a high attack percentage, .433, to take set four from the Hokies 25-21 and clinched the match 3-1.
MATCH ONE NOTABLES
• Emily Henken finished with 15 kills in the contest.
• Dimitra Tziarli hit for a .467 attack percentage with eight kills.
• Delaney Rice notched 12 kills on a .429 hitting percentage.
MATCH TWO DETAILS
• Carlie Rodgers collected 30 digs and Henken registered 20 kills, but Saint Louis fell to DePaul in four sets Saturday night.
• The Billikens held set point at 24-20 in the first frame, but DePaul rattled off the next five points and eventually took the game 28-26.
• The Blue Demons had a one-point advantage late in set two, but three straight kills from Henken clinched the game 25-23 for SLU.
• After trailing 19-10, the Billikens fought back and pulled within one point of the Blue Demons, but DePaul escaped with the 25-23 win in set three.
• The Blue Demons jumped out to a 4-0 lead in game four and never lost control of the set, defeating the Billikens 25-16.
MATCH TWO NOTABLES
• Henken's 20 kills marked a career high. She also added nine digs, two service aces and two blocks.
• Rodgers recorded the sixth 30-dig performance of her career. She neared a double-double with eight assists in the contest.
