Cameron Swanger drove in five runs, leading Saint Louis to an 11-3 victory over Southern Illinois Tuesday afternoon at Itchy Jones Stadium in Carbondale, Ill.
Winners in its last four contests, SLU improved to 4-3 on the season, while the Salukis moved to 3-6.
Swanger was one of four Billikens with a multi-hit game, with the first baseman finishing 2-3 with a home run, five RBIs and a run scored. Tyler Fogarty went 2-2 with two doubles, two runs scored and two walks, and Cole Smith finished 2-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Patrick Clohisy notched his team-leading third home run of the season, a solo shot to lead off the game.
Four Billikens collected scoreless outings on the mound. Brock Graf tossed a team-best 2.1 scoreless innings, scattering just two hits. Luke Gasser punched out two batters in his 1.2 frames of work.
A three-run first inning put the Billikens in front early, including a solo home run off the bat of Clohisy.
The Salukis plated one in the second inning to pull within two at 3-1.
Swanger drove home Fogarty with a sacrifice fly in the third frame.
The Billikens more than doubled their lead with a six-run sixth inning. Swanger's first long ball of the year made it 10-1 .
SIU scored a run in each of the seventh and eighth innings. The Billikens brought one run home on a bases loaded hit-by-pitch in the eighth.
The Billikens will host St. Thomas for a three-game weekend series beginning Friday.
