Cam Redding drove in four runs and homered for the second straight game as Saint Louis posted a 9-4 victory over UMass Friday in the Atlantic 10 Conference opener for both teams.

The Billikens improved to 13-10 overall and 1-0 in A-10 play, while UMass dipped to 4-14 and 0-1 in the league.

Redding had a two-run double in the fourth and a two-run homer in the sixth to account for his four RBIs. He has five RBIs in his first two games of the season, which has vaulted him past four players on the Billikens' all-time list and he is now 13th in school history with 127 career RBIs. Redding is also just two hits shy from becoming the 19th Billiken with 200 or more hits in a career.

Patrick Clohisy and
Dominic Cusumano had two hits apiece. Clohisy reached base four times and scored three runs.

Ethan Sitzman scored three times and saved at least one run with a diving stop on a grounder up the middle to end the top of the second.

Henry Litman got the win after tossing five innings and striking out four.
Jack Weber was effective in relief, allowing just two hits and one run in three innings.
Colby Downard pitched a scoreless inning of relief.
