Four Billikens notched multi-hit games, SLU held St. Thomas scoreless for the final seven innings and Saint Louis earned a 5-2 victory over the Tommies Sunday afternoon at Billiken Sports Center.
SLU completed the weekend sweep of St. Thomas, winning its seventh straight game and improving to 7-3 on the season. The Tommies dipped to 1-8.
Cole Smith's RBI triple and Cameron Swanger's RBI single gave the Billikens an early 2-0 lead in the opening frame.
The Tommies answered with their only runs of the game in the next half inning with a pair of runners crossing the plate.
The Billikens scored single runs in each of the third, fourth and seventh innings.
Swanger finished 2-4 with two RBIs. Smith, Dominic Cusumano and Ethan Sitzman each also had two-hit contests.
Owen Chaffin picked up his second win of the season, tossing 5.0 innings and allowing just two runs on four hits.
Grant Fremion earned a save after throwing 4.0 scoreless innings.
The Billikens will travel to Lindenwood Tuesday evening for a midweek contest.
