THE BASICS
Chloe Rhine and Natalie Sullivan had two hits apiece, but SIUE rallied for a 6-5 victory over Saint Louis Wednesday afternoon at Cougar Field.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
•Saint Louis scored all its runs in the fifth inning. The first run scored on an error. With two outs, Rhine delivered a two-run triple and scored on a passed ball, and Sullivan followed with her first home run of the season.
•SIUE got on the board with a run in the sixth and scored five times in the seventh to win it.
 
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Jane Kaniecki and Ashley Marietta had a single apiece.
•Chloe Wendling recorded a career-high-tying eight strikeouts.
 
UP NEXT
The Billikens host Bradley and Northern Illinois in the Saint Louis Opening Round Robin Saturday and Sunday, March 11-12. SLU plays at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. both days.
