Abby Mallo hit her eighth home run of the season to tie for the Atlantic 10 Conference lead, but Eastern Illinois rallied in the bottom of the seventh inning to claim a 4-3 win over Saint Louis Wednesday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
•Mallo's two-run homer came with two outs in the fourth and gave the Billikens a 2-0 lead.
•Eastern Illinois pulled even with two runs in the fifth.
•Gabbie Kowalik's RBI double in the sixth put SLU back on top.
•EIU plated two runs in the seventh to register the walk-off victory.
 
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Chloe Rhine doubled.
•Ashley Marietta singled and threw out a runner at the plate from right field.
•Starting pitcher Chloe Wendling struck out five, allowed three hits and did not walk a batter in four scoreless innings.
 
UP NEXT
The Billikens host Fordham in a three-game A-10 series this weekend. Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's single game start at noon.
