Fogarty Has Big Day at Lindenwood

ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Saint Louis' Tyler Fogarty finished a double shy from the cycle in a 3-for-4, four RBI day, but the Billikens fell 13-8 at Lindenwood on Tuesday in nonconference baseball action at the Lou Brock Sports Complex.

SLU falls to 22-12 overall, while Lindenwood improves to 9-28.

Fogarty had a two-run, game-tying homer in the third inning and a two-run triple in the sixth to account for his season-high four RBIs.

Hayden Moore smacked three hits for the Billikens, while Ethan Sitzman remained hot and went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Patrick Clohisy and Easton Richter also drove runs for the Billikens.

Lindenwood used two big innings to score the majority of its runs, pushing across five in the second inning and six in the fourth. The Lions tacked on two more in the seventh for insurance.

Seven Billiken pitchers saw work on the day.

Saint Louis returns to action this weekend when it heads to Dayton for an Atlantic 10 Conference series against the Flyers.
