THE BASICS
Saint Louis fell twice to Dayton Saturday in an Atlantic 10 Conference doubleheader, 6-4 in the opener and 2-0 in the nightcap.
 
GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Dayton plated three runs, two of which were unearned, in the bottom of the first inning.
•Saint Louis scored four unearned runs in the third. Natalie Sullivan delivered a sacrifice fly, a second run scored on an error, and Abby Mallo's two-run home run gave the Billikens a 4-3 lead. The homer was Mallo's team-high seventh of the season.
•The Flyers struck for three runs, two of them unearned, in the sixth.
 
GAME 1 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Chloe Rhine, Jane Kaniecki and Jocelyn Abbott had a single apiece.
 
GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Dayton broke a scoreless tie with a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh.
 
GAME 2 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Kaili Hanner took the tough-luck loss. Hanner surrendered just five hits and three walks while striking out four.
•Gabbie Kowalik, Kaniecki and Ashley Marietta singled.
