Davidson, NC – Saint Louis scored first, but Davidsion picked up a key Atlantic-10 win as the Wildcats won 11-2 today in the series opener at Wislon Field.
SLU (27-18, 12-7 A-10) got a pair of RBIs from
Patrick Clohisy as he went 1-for-4 on the day.
Hayden Moore and
Austin Neuweg had a hit and a run each, while
Cam Redding,
Cole Smith and
Ethan Sitzman had a hit each.
Henry Litman started and went four innings, striking out four.
Grant Fremion,
Luke Gasser and
Colby Downard threw in relief.
DU (27-19, 13-5 A-10) had four RBIs from Jack Cotrone, while Jacob Friend drove in three.
Clohisy started the scoring as he singled through the left side in the first to score Moore.
Davidson scored four in the second before Clohisy drove in Neuweg in the fourth to make the score 4-2 heading to the bottom half of the inning.
The Wildcats scored a run in the fourth but broke the game open with six in the sixth.
The two teams will play a double-header tomorrow starting at noon.
