Saint Louis – Cole Smith had a fourth-inning home run but the Billikens dropped a mid-week game to Lindenwood 9-1 today at the Billiken Sports Center.
 
Cameron Swanger went 2-for-4 for the Bills (27-21), while Smith added a homer and Cam Redding had a triple. Dawson Smith started, while Reid Hendrickson, Grant Fremion, Jack Dumont, Colby Downard, Evan Gray and Caleb Thomson threw in relief.
 
Lindenwood (11-41) was led by Joe Copeland who went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and a run scored.
 
The Lions scored a run in the first but broke the game open with six in the fourth.
 
Smith's homer in the bottom of the fourth made it 7-1 and the Lions added a run each in the eighth and ninth.
 
The Billikens finish the regular season this weekend with three games at home against Fordham beginning Friday at 4 pm.
