SETTING THE SCENE

  • Saint Louis (8-10, 1-4 A-10) plays its first of two straight at Chaifetz Arena on Wednesday, hosting the Davidson Wildcats (11-7, 1-4 A-10) for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
  • Wednesday's game will be televised on Bally Sports Midwest and streamed live on ESPN+ and the Bally Sports App.
  • KMOX 1120 AM serves as the Home for Billiken Basketball on the radio. Billiken Hall of Famers and longtime SLU men's basketball radio partners Bob Ramsey and Earl Austin Jr. will the call the action for all SLU games, both at home and on the road.
ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
  • Saint Louis (8-10, 1-4 A-10) returns home to Chaifetz Arena to face the Davidson Wildcats in A-10 play. The Bills are coming off two straight road losses to Dayton and VCU.
  • Gibson Jimerson leads the Bills and is ninth in the A-10 in scoring with 16.1 ppg. He is fourth in the conference with 2.5 3s made/game and is sixth in 3-point percentage (.385).
  • Bradley Ezewiro is averaging 13.1 ppg and a team-leading 7.3 rpg. He has led the Billikens in rebounding in six straight games.
  • Michael Meadows Jr. is second in the Atlantic 10 in assist/turnover ratio (2.87). Fellow PG Cian Medley leads SLU with 57 assists. Medley is 20 assists away from cracking the top 10 for most assists at SLU by a freshman.
  • Sincere Parker is coming off a 21-point effort at VCU, the most points he has scored in a game since suffering a foot injury Nov. 16 against Wyoming that caused him to miss 11 games. He averages 14.1 ppg in seven games this year for the Billikens.
  • Terrence Hargrove Jr. is averaging 12.8 ppg and 5.7 rpg while shooting 49 percent from the field.
  • Kellen Thames averages 5.3 ppg and shoots 66.7 percent from the field. According to KenPom, he leads the conference in 2-point field goal percentage (.718).
  • SLU has already had seven different starting lineup combinations this season, the most in the Travis Ford era.
  • The Billikens are 164-139 in A-10 regular-season games. Travis Ford needs one more A-10 win for 100 in his career.
LAST TIME OUT         
  • VCU broke the game open in the second half and posted an 85-61 victory over Saint Louis Friday night in Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball action at the Siegel Center.
  • The Billikens fell to 8-10 overall and 1-4 in A-10 play. VCU improved to 11-7 and 3-2 in the A-10.
  • Sincere Parker led the Billikens with 21 points. Parker was 6-of-14 from the field and 8-of-8 from the stripe.
  • Terrence Hargrove Jr. scored 10 points, while Kellen Thames chipped in with nine.
  • SLU shot 35.7 percent from the field and connected on just 4-of-20 3-pointers. The Billikens were 17-of-18 from the line, matching the best performance at the line in an A-10 game in school history with 15 or more attempts.
  • VCU shot 50 percent and drilled seven 3-pointers in the second half. The Rams were led by Joe Bamisile, who scored 29 points off the bench on 10-of-13 shooting from the field and 7-of-10 from 3-point range.
  • Hargrove scored the first eight points for SLU as the Billikens led 8-3 early on, but that five-point advantage would the largest of the night for SLU.
ABOUT THE WILDCATS
  • The Davidson College Wildcats (Davidson, N.C.) enter Wednesday's Atlantic 10 matchup with an 11-7 overall record and a 1-4 mark in A-10 play.
  • In its last game, DC took first-place Richmond to overtime before falling 69-64 at Belk Arena.
  • The Wildcats brought a seven-game winning streak into A-10 play, finishing the non-conference season with a 10-3 record.
  • Nine of Davidson's games this season have been determined by five or fewer points. The Wildcats are 4-5 in those games.
  • David Skogman leads Davidson with 13.3 ppg. The Buffalo transfer scored a team-high 24 points against Richmond after being held scoreless the game prior.
  • Grant Huffman leads the Atlantic 10 with 4.9 assists per game and is second with 88 total assists. He's a close second on the 'Cats with 13.2 ppg, and scored a career-high 24 points against George Washington on Jan. 13.
  • Connor Kochera (10.6 ppg), Reed Bailey (10.3 ppg) and Bobby Durkin (9.9 ppg) are the other top scorers for Davidson. At 72.3 ppg, the Wildcats are last in the A-10 in scoring offense.
  • Matt McKillop is in his second year as head coach at Davidson. He took over for his father, Bob McKillop, who coached the Wildcats for 33 years.
SERIES HISTORY        
  • This is the 13th meeting all-time between the two teams. The series began when Davidson joined the A-10 in 2014-15. The Wildcats lead the all-time series 8-4.
  • SLU won both games last year – 74-70 at Belk Arena, and 78-65 at Chaifetz Arena.
  • The series is tied 2-2 in games played at Chaifetz Arena.
