CHICAGO – Saint Louis dropped a 77-62 decision to Loyola Chicago on Tuesday night in Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball action at Gentile Arena.

The Billikens fell to 8-13 overall and 1-7 in league play, while Loyola Chicago kept pace for a tie for third in the league standings at 14-7 overall and 6-2 in the A-10.

Gibson Jimerson led the way for SLU with 16 points and a career-high nine rebounds.
Sincere Parker chipped in 14 points and six boards.

Cian Medley scored a career-high 11 points, dished out four assists and posted three steals.

The Billikens forced Loyola Chicago into 16 turnovers, the most they have forced since Nov. 16 against Wyoming. SLU turned those turnovers into 15 points.

The Billikens were hampered by a 36 percent shooting mark from the field, which included a 2-of-14 performance from 3-point range. SLU's first six points came from the arc on treys by Jimerson and
Terrence Hargrove Jr., but they didn't make another after that.

Loyola Chicago was led by Des Watson's 20 points.

After falling behind early on, the Billikens rebounded and ended up going on top by nine at the 8:19 mark, 23-14, on a Medley layin following a steal. Loyola Chicago started chipping away at its deficit and ended up utilizing an 8-0 to grab the lead. The Ramblers led 36-31 at halftime.

In the second half, Hargrove converted a 3-point play early to make it a three-point game, but that is as close as the Billikens would get. The Ramblers regained control and enjoyed a double-digit cushion for the majority of the second half in cruising to their 10th home win of the season.

The Billikens are back in action this Saturday afternoon when the host Fordham at Chaifetz Arena. Game time is 1:30 p.m. on USA Network.
