Gaebe Becomes Billikens' Career Goals, Points Leader in 5-0 Win at Duquesne

GAME DETAILS
•Emily Gaebe broke Saint Louis women's soccer career records for goals and points by recording the 10th hat trick in program history, and the Billikens rolled past Duquesne 5-0 Sunday afternoon in an Atlantic 10 Conference match at Rooney Field.
•Gaebe now has 43 career goals, surpassing the previous record of 41 set by Jamie Perry (2001-04), and 107 points, breaking the previous mark of 105 held by Hannah Friedrich (2018-22).
•Lyndsey Heckel and Jordan Gary also found the back of the net for the Billikens, who improved to 7-1-5 overall and 3-0-2 in the A-10 and extended their unbeaten streak to eight games (5-0-3).
•Duquesne fell to 8-5, 2-4.
•Gaebe gave Saint Louis all it would need with her first goal in the sixth minute. She broke the goals record, assisted by Hope Kim and Sophia Stram, in the ninth minute. Heckel's penalty-kick goal in the 14th minute gave the Bills a 3-0 lead they would take into halftime.
•Gaebe's third goal of the game, 11th of the season and 43rd of her career, assisted by Julia Simon in the 53rd minute, broke a tie with Friedrich for the points record. Gary's goal in the 86th minute included a Rylee Howard assist.
•Emily Puricelli made two saves and posted her fifth solo shutout of the season. SLU has seven clean sheets in all.

•Saint Louis out-shot Duquesne 18-7 overall and 8-2 in shots on goal. Gaebe had game highs of five total shots and three shots on frame.
•The Billikens extended their A-10 regular-season unbeaten streak to 25 games. Including conference tournament games, Saint Louis extended its unbeaten streak vs. league opponents to 34 games.
•In addition to setting the career goals and points records, Gaebe moved into sole possession of second place on SLU's career game-winning goals list with her 12th game-winner (fourth of the season. Friedrich owns the record of 15.
•Gaebe increased her team-leading totals to 11 goals and 25 points, good for first place and a tie for first, respectively, in the A-10.
•Heckel registered her third goal of the year.
•Gary became the 12th different Billiken to score a goal this season.
•Kim, Simon and Howard collected their second assists of the year, while Stram picked up her first.
•Puricelli added to her SLU career records with her 74th win and 45th shutout.
