ST. LOUIS – No. 19 Dayton maintained its undefeated Atlantic 10 Conference record with a 3-0 win over Saint Louis Friday night in Atlantic 10 Conference Volleyball action at Chaifetz Pavilion. 

The Billikens dip to 11-18 overall and 6-11 in the league. Dayton improves to 27-1 and 17-0 in conference play.

Addy Brus lead the Billiken attack with 13 kills. Abby Lynn had 15 assists, while Carlie Rodgers recorded a team-high 17 digs. Trinity Luckett posted four blocks.

Dayton was led by Liana Sarkissian and Lexie Almodovar, who had 11 and 10 kills, respectively. 

The Flyers posted a .302 hitting percentage compared to .081 for the Billikens.

Dayton def. Saint Louis 25-14, 25-17, 25-17

Set 1 – The Billikens led 6-5 early on before Dayton went on a 4-0 push to grab the lead. It was a two-point game at 12-10 before a 7-0 Flyers run helped secure the set win.

Set 2 – SLU again had a lead early in the set as a 4-0 run put the Bills on top 7-6. But Dayton took six of the next seven points as they cruised to the win in the second.

Set 3 – The Billikens were up 10-7 in the third before Dayton rattled off seven straight. They clinched the set, and the match, with three straight points.

The Billikens and Flyers are back at it Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
