HAMMOND, La. – The Saint Louis University baseball team dropped a doubleheader here Saturday, falling to Southeastern Louisiana 10-8 and 10-9.
The losses move the Billikens to 15-3 on the season after winning seven-straight games prior to Saturday's two games against the Lions.
The Billikens found themselves in an early three-run deficit in game one against Southeastern Louisiana before Patrick Clohisy drove in Preston Knox to get SLU  on the board. In the top of the fifth inning, at-bats from Tyler Fogarty, Drew Winters and Graham Mastros helped the Billikens pull within one run, 7-6, but the Lions continued to answer, tacking on three additional scores to boost them to a 10-7 win.
With a final stat line almost mirroring the first game, the Billikens got on the board first and took a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the fourth inning. A home run from Moore and a double by Fogarty padded the Billikens' advantage, as they led 8-5 heading into the seventh inning. The Lions clawed back, though, tacking on two runs in the seventh inning before taking the 9-8 lead in the eighth.
With a final chance to even the score or take back the lead, Mastros got on base with two outs doubling to right center field. The Billikens' next batter struck out solidibying their second loss of the day.
Fogarty led the team with four RBIs on the day while Clohisy scored four runs on five hits.
The Billikens will be back in action for their final game against the Lions tomorrow at 1 p.m.Â
