THE BASICS
Saint Louis rallied in the bottom of the seventh inning for a second consecutive game Sunday afternoon, scoring twice in the final frame to defeat Rhode Island 4-3 in the finale of an Atlantic 10 Conference series.

The Billikens, who took two of three from the Rams, improved to 23-14 overall and 11-4 in the A-10. Second-place SLU remains a game behind first-place Saint Joseph's in the league standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
•SLU got on the board first in the first inning on
Jane Kaniecki's RBI single.
•The Billikens made it 2-0 in the fifth when
Natalie Sullivan scooted home from third base on a groundout.
•Rhode Island went on top 3-2 with a three-run sixth inning.
•The decisive seventh inning began with walks to
Kendall Johnson and Sullivan. Pinch-runner
Karsen Jany scored and Sullivan moved to third when the Rhode Island pitcher threw wildly to third on
Abby Ulsas' ground ball, and
Cami Newbanks followed with a game-winning sacrifice fly.
