BRONX, N.Y. - Saint Louis University baseball dropped its series finale with the Fordham Rams here Sunday afternoon, falling by one run, 5-4, at Houlihan Park.
The loss is the Billikens second straight, moving them to 26-10 on the season and 8-4 in Atlantic 10 Conference play.
SLU found itself in an early deficit in the rubber match between the conference foes, going down by three three innings in.
Drew Winters got the Billikens on the board with his seventh home run of the season, before
Graham Mastros sent a three-run bomb into left field to give SLU its first lead of the day (4-3).
The Billikens held onto their one-run advantage heading into the bottom of the ninth inning, but their precarious lead left them vulnerable. With one out and one on, the Rams' star hitter, Daniel Bucciero, hit his second home run of the day to walk it off for the home team, 5-4.
SLU returns to Missouri Tuesday for a mid-week contest at Lindenwood. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. in St. Charles.Â
