THE BASICS
Saint Louis' offense erupted for 22 runs on 20 hits and Billiken pitching allowed just three earned runs in a 10-2, 12-4 doubleheader sweep of St. Bonaventure Sunday at Joyce Field.

SLU improved to 21-13 overall and 9-3 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Billikens are in sole possession of second place, one game behind Saint Joseph's.

GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Saint Louis took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when a run scored on a passed ball.
•St. Bonaventure answered with two runs in its half of the first.
•SLU grabbed the lead for good with a three-run second inning.
Jocelyn Abbott drove in the first run with a single, and
Jane Kaniecki collected two RBIs on a fielder's choice.
•
Kelsey Etling's third-inning solo home run, her seventh long ball of the season, made it 5-2.
•In the fourth, Kaniecki picked up another RBI with a single, and two more runs scored on a two-out error.
•
Cami Newbanks delivered a two-run single in the fifth to complete the scoring.

GAME 1 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•
Abby Ulsas went 3-for-4.
•Etling added a double for a two-hit game.
•
Isabel Royle tossed a two-hitter and improved to 7-3. Royle struck out six and did not allow an earned run.
•Newbanks singled twice.
•
Natalie Sullivan smashed a double.

GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•The Billikens went on top in the first on Newbanks' RBI double.
•In the third, Newbanks' RBI single was the first blow of a five-run inning. Etling produced a three-run double, and a fifth run crossed on a two-out error.
•St. Bonaventure plated two runs in its half of the third.
•Saint Louis scored six times in the fifth with the aid of four St. Bonaventure errors. Abbott recorded a sacrifice fly, a second run scored on an error, and Sullivan and
Abby Mallo knocked two-run singles.
•The Bonnies put up two runs in their fifth inning to round out the scoring.

GAME 2 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Sullivan had two singles.
•
Chloe Rhine doubled.
•Kaniecki, Abbott and
Allie Marietta had a single apiece.
•
Taylor Hochman went to 12-5 on the season. Hochman allowed just two runs and two hits in four innings.
