Billikens Best Revolutionaries for First Atlantic 10 Win

ST. LOUIS –Mya Glanton sank two clutch free throws with six seconds remaining to lift Saint Louis to a 64-63 victory over George Washington, marking the Billikens' first Atlantic 10 win of the season.

Saint Louis led 40-25 at halftime, but George Washington mounted a fierce comeback, scoring 26 points in the third quarter to trim the lead to just two. The Billikens found themselves down by three with 46 seconds left, but Brooklyn Gray responded with a driving layup and then stole the ball on the next possession. Glanton was fouled on the ensuing play and calmly made both free throws to seal the win.

Glanton's 17 points, her most in a Saint Louis uniform, led all scorers. Kennedy Calhoun added 14 points, while Gray finished with 10.

Saint Louis also edged out the Atlantic 10's top rebounding team, 38-35. Tierra Simon grabbed nine rebounds, Glanton added eight, and Marcavia Shavers pulled down six.

Isabel Tillett registered a career-high three assists in her first collegiate start.

The Billikens return to action Saturday, Jan. 18, when they host Loyola Chicago. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
