ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
Saint Louis enters Sunday's game 5-4 overall. The Bills are coming off a thrilling 2-1 victory at Richmond on Friday, the first win ever for the Bills against the Spiders in 24 games. It was also SLU's first road Atlantic 10 Conference win since 2007.
At 5-4, the Billikens are off to one of the best starts to a season in a long while. SLU is at five wins on the season for just the fourth time in the last 20 years. Click here for a year-by-year record breakdown.
Olivia Smith leads the Billikens with 11 points (5G, 1A). Sierra Larson, who was named A-10 Offensive Player of the Week Sept. 8, has scored four times. Abby Vidas (3G), Shaya Dry (3G) and Ignacia Manriquez (2G) have all scored multiple times for the Bills this year as well.
Abby Schalow has played the majority of minutes in the cage. She has a 1.76 goals against average and has made 63 saves. She stopped a penalty stroke in the win at Richmond. Schalow's .808 save percentage is ninth in NCAA Division I.

NEW COACHING STAFF
The Billikens are led by interim head coach Laura Hurff. She guided Rhodes College to a 14-6 record last season as interim head coach. An accomplished player in her own right, she was a four-year starter at Syracuse and helped the Orange win the NCAA Championship in 2015.
Assisting Hurff is interim assistant coach Teresa Schmidt, a St. Louis native who played at Bellarmine. Graduate assistant Bodhi Littlefield was a four-year starter at Ohio.
50TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON
This season marks the 50th anniversary of Billiken Field Hockey at Saint Louis University. The program began in 1975 under the direction of SLU professor and former Dutch national team player, Dr. Will van Beaumont.Â
