GAME DETAILS
•Saint Louis registered a season-high goal output and held on to a share of first place in the Atlantic 10 Conference Sunday afternoon, blanking Saint Joseph's 5-0 at Sean Sweeney Field in Philadelphia.
•SLU concluded the first half of the 10-game A-10 schedule with a 10-2-1 overall record and a 5-0 conference mark. The Billikens have won five straight and are unbeaten in their last eight games (7-0-1).
•Saint Joseph's slipped to 4-8-1, 1-4.
•As was the case in Saint Louis' 4-0 victory over La Salle Thursday night, a different Billiken scored each of the goals in Sunday's win. Also, Caroline Chier, Hannah Larson and Addison Stanciak tallied their first goals of the season, giving SLU 12 different goal scorers on the year. The goals by Chier and Stanciak were the first of their collegiate careers.
•Julia Simon put the Bills on top in the fifth minute, gathering a loose ball, making a long run and banging in her third goal of the season from just outside the box.
•Chier's goal in the 44th minute gave Saint Louis a 2-0 halftime lead. A Saint Joseph's clearing attempt of Adee Broesder's long cross from the right wing hit the goalpost, and Chier was there to collect the deflected ball and score from close range.
•In the 51st minute, Blakely Hockett netted a header goal on a corner kick for a second consecutive game. Izzy Luebbert notched her fourth assist on Hockett's second goal of the season.
•Larson made it 4-0 in the 60th minute on another corner kick. Broesder, who recorded the first two-assist game of her collegiate career, headed a ball that the Saint Joseph's goalkeeper tipped off the crossbar. Larson was on the doorstep for an easy header.
•The Billikens' fifth goal also resulted from a corner kick as Stanciak emerged from a scramble in front of the goal to tap the ball into the net. Nina Preusser became the 14th Billiken with a point this season with her first assist.
