DAVIDSON, N.C. – Saint Louis dropped a 3-1 decision at Davidson on Friday night at John M. Belk Arena.
SET 1 | Davidson 25, SLU 23
Saint Louis clawed back from an early deficit, using a pair of aces from
Jetta Brenning to pull within 14-13. The Bills tied it at 20 on a block from
Justina Asamoa and
Tea Kalajdzic, then again at 23, but Davidson closed out the set with back-to-back points.
SET 2 | SLU 25, Davidson 20
The Bills responded with their cleanest set of the night. A steady run of pressure from the service line — including aces from
Alivia Bronner and
Addy Polk — pushed SLU ahead 19-17. The block sealed it from there, with
Kayla Jansen and
Tamia Maddox teaming up on the final point.
SET 3 | Davidson 25, SLU 19
SLU opened with a 6-3 burst fueled by
Ellie Rink and Maddox, but Davidson countered with a 7-1 run and never trailed again. The Wildcats hit .282 in the frame, and took a 2-1 lead.
SET 4 | Davidson 25, SLU 13
Davidson took control early and continued to apply pressure from the service line. SLU flashed late momentum with a pair of Maddox aces, but the Wildcats' offense proved too steady as they closed out the match.
