ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Billikens won their third straight home game, defeating Dayton 72-63 on Wednesday night.
Dayton had previously beaten Saint Louis earlier this season in Dayton.
The Billikens trailed after the first quarter and exchanged leads until back-to-back steals and layups by Hannah Wallace with just under three minutes left in the first half gave Saint Louis the lead down the stretch.
Saint Louis shot 50 percent in the second half, continuing its offensive momentum. The Billikens scored 27 points off fast breaks to maintain control.
Four Billikens scored in double figures, led by Brooklyn Gray with 15 points, followed by Shun'teria Anumele (14), Tierra Simon (13), and Kennedy Calhoun (11). Calhoun also added seven rebounds, three assists, and four steals. The team totaled 14 steals, with six players contributing.
The Billikens return to action Saturday when they travel to Duquesne. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. Central on ESPN+.
