ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Saint Louis University women's basketball team defeated Rhode Island, 67-63, in its final home game of the season.
Rhode Island led by eight early, but the Billikens responded with a 17-2 run to take a 25-18 lead, which they held for the rest of the game.
Saint Louis scored eight points in the final minute of the third quarter to extend its lead to 51-35. The Rams outscored SLU, 28-16, in the fourth quarter but couldn't complete the comeback.
Brooklyn Gray led all scorers with 22 points, shooting 77.9 percent from the floor. Kennedy Calhoun added 14 points, six assists, and three steals.
Tierra Simon recorded the 10th double-double of her career with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
SLU shot 80 percent from three-point range and recorded 14 assists, its most in conference play.
Saint Louis finished with a four-game home winning streak and earned its first win over Rhode Island in Chaifetz Arena since February 2016.
The Billikens return to action at Loyola Chicago for their final regular-season game. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
