Abby Ulsas reached base four times apiece Thursday in Saint Louis' season-opening 4-3 loss to Southern Indiana on day one of Hawaii's Bank of Hawaii Paradise Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
•The Billikens took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning when
Abby Mallo swiped home on a double steal.
•Saint Louis doubled its lead in the fourth on
Jane Kaniecki's two-out RBI single.
•Southern Indiana plated its first run in the fifth and surged ahead with a three-run sixth inning.
•The Billikens made it a one-run game on Sullivan's bases-loaded walk in the seventh, but the rally ended there.
