GAME RESULTS
Game 1 – Saint Louis 6, Fordham 0
Game 2 – Fordham 6, Saint Louis 1
Saturday, March 22, 2025
St. Louis, Mo. (Billiken Sports Center)

THE BASICS
Taylor Hochman tossed a four-hit shutout to lead Saint Louis to a 6-0 victory over Fordham in game one of Saturday's Atlantic 10 Conference doubleheader at the Billiken Sports Center.

Karsen Jany hit a leadoff home run in the nightcap, but Fordham walked away with a 6-1 win.

GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Saint Louis scored the only runs it would need in the bottom of the second inning. The Billikens loaded the bases with nobody out on a walk to Abby Mallo and singles by Jane Kaniecki and Chloe Rhine. Kendall Johnson's sacrifice fly brought home the first run, and the second run scored on an error.
•SLU doubled the lead in the third, again loading the bases with nobody out on walks to Abby Ulsas and Mallo sandwiched around Natalie Sullivan's bunt single. Ulsas scored on a wild pitch, and following a walk to Kaniecki that reloaded the bases, Rhine was hit by a pitch.
•The Bills completed the scoring in the fourth. Allie Marietta led off with a triple and scored on Ulsas' single, and Mallo's single plated Ulsas.

GAME 1 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Hochman (7-5) struck out five in collecting her second win of the week. The shutout was her second this season. She escaped a bases-loaded jam in the first and stranded two Fordham runners in the second and third innings.
•Ulsas had two hits.

GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Jany's homer, her second of the year, evened the score at 1-1 after Fordham scored in its half of the opening frame.
•The Rams struck for four runs in the third and added an insurance tally in the seventh.

GAME 2 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Ulsas, Mallo and Kaniecki had a single apiece.
•Anna Christ pitched four strong relief innings, allowing one run (unearned), two hits and no walks.
